The star system calculates the number of pieces that were handled by Conchology, Inc. in the last 21 years:

We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.
Info: In the present regional monograph 2,168 specimens of Cerithiopsidae are analyzed. This material has been sampled by the MNHN during different expeditions: in 2014 in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean at the Ãles du Salut (Salvation's Islands), French Guiana, in 2012 and 2015 in the Caribbean around Guadeloupe, and in 2016 in Martinique, also Caribbean. 1,916 specimens were identifiable at species level, resulting in a total of 52 species, of which 32 are new to science. Eight genera are represented: Belonimorphis (1), Cerithiopsis (40), Cubalaskeya (1), Prolixodens (2), Retilaskeya (3), Seila (2), Specula (1), Sundaya (1).
