North side of Hog Island [Paradise Island], directly back of the beach [New Providence Island, Bahamas].

Remarks:

Maynard (1894a:123) distinguished a small form [No. 1] without naming it. MCZ 10260 contained two specimens labeled Form no. 1.  Specimens representing this form are not paratypes of Strophia cinerea robusta [Article 72.4 (ICZN, 1999:76)].  Gould and Woodruff (1986:475) regarded this taxon to be a synonym of Cerion glans (Küster, 1844).
