We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.

Remarks:
As this taxon was published in Part Three of Contributions to the history of the Cerionidae with descriptions of many new species and notes on evolution in birds and plants, the authorship is attributed to Maynard, rather than Maynard and Clapp, as listed in Clench (1957:151).
