"S. tabida new. Recessional after albea of Spruce Key, but differs from it in having margin, callus and teeth as in rufina, from which it was evidently derived. Some individuals appear to mimic species unknown to me. West shore of Eleuthera near the Current Settlement, living on rocks close by the sea. Rare and scattering. The most remarkable recessional species that I have thus far found as, all things considered, it is the most remote phylogenetically from the species it mimics." (Maynard, 1913c: 199)
