We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.

Maynard (1920d:120) and Clench (1957:164) listed this taxon as occurring on Little Strout [Stroud], Strout [Stroud], East and West Hawksbill and Cistern Keys [Exuma Group,

Remarks:
Maynard (1919a:15; 1919b:35) twice used this binomen as a nomen nudum. Maynard (1926:198-203) provided additional data based on dissections and noted that this was one of a very few taxa that occured on more than a single key.
