We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.

Playa Rincon, Ensenada de Mora, Oriente, found in large numbers on the sea grape (Coccoloba) trees, approximately a dozen to the square meter, by Welch, August 15, 1927. These were identified by Dr. de la Torre, and I learned he had been there previous to my visit. Further series were collected by Pilsbry and Welch,August 3, 1928 .

This taxon was originally published as Cerion ramsdeni Torre, but Boyko & Rosenberg (1999:43) noted that this name should be attributed to Welch rather than Torre.
