Remarks:
Maynard (1921b:141; 1924a: pl. 38, figs. 5, 6) subsequently provided additional descriptive notes and illustrations of this taxon. Clench (1934:214) considered this to be a valid species, but later (1952:109) listed this taxon as a synonym of C. exiguum (Maynard, 1913).  Gould and Woodruff (1986:474) synonymized this taxon with Cerion glans (Küster, 1844).
