Type Material:
Lectotype, ANSP 73483

ANSP 73483 – The original lot contained 5 specimens.  Pilsbry & Vanatta (1899:477) illustrated and provided measurements for only one specimen. The specimen figured in the original description and in Pilsbry, 1902: pl. 29, fig. 52 had been sequestered under the number 73483a, in the manner used by Baker (1963), but is not listed in his publication.  This specimen is here designated as the lectotype and retains the catalog number ANSSP 73483. The remaining four specimens, which are not mentioned in the original description, are paralectotypes and have been recatalogued as ANSP 411920.
