"KEY VACCAS. At the east end of this Key, Dr. J. W. Velie collected many specimens of a small, thin form, with short terminal cone, and the sculpture of typical Key West shells. Color fleshy-white, more or less suffesed or clouded with flesh-color, and sparsely or copiously streaked with livid spots, The peristome is thin and narrow. Size: 23x8; 22x8 ½ to 18x8 mill. This slightly individualized race may stand as form vaccinum (pl. 29, fig. 51)."
