Remarks:

Clench (1934:216) noted that this taxon was taken near High Rock on Grand Bahama Island in 1934, but that it was uncommon, since "the section of the island had been badly burned and the few Cerions obrtained alive had secreted themselves under large, flat stones."  He also questioned if incisum Dall was distinct from oweni.

Clench (1938b:328-329) considered C. oweni oweni Dall, 1905 to be a smooth subspecies of as C. bendalli.
