We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.
Differs from S. macalaria in being more slender, diameter .40 instead of .50. with markings more restricted, and nearly a third of the 61 specimens collected are immaculately white. while others are only slightly streaked. Found in and near a cutting through rocks on Soldier's Road about a mile and a half from SouthShore. 75 cts." (Maynard, 1924c:3).
