Mary was a unique shell dealer. She would have tables at the shell shows or at Conchologists of American meetings, and we used to kid her about maybe finding a body somewhere under the boxes on the table. To say there was no organization to her sales presentation would be an understatement. She had boxes, bags, jugs, napkins, and even baby bottles filled with shells for sale. It was such fun to go through all her treasurers, and if you were patient, there was some good and interesting shells. She rarely knew what price things were, so she would tell me to just give her what I thought the shell was worth. She also had interesting sea life, and many of my Urchins were from her. Data was not a word in her vocabulary, but she was such fun, always smiling, always friendly to everyone. It was a business to do pleasure with her. - Edit
