We want to point out that the star system is only very reliable for PHILIPPINE shells only, as we handle very few foreign shells in general. As time goes, the system will become more and more performant.

VOLUTIDAE
Aristocrats among shells: after Pleurotomariidae considered by all specialists as the most noble. Volutidae have exquisite shapes and select colours. There are about 280 species, many subspecies and a multitude of forms. Collectors of volutes enjoy the great pleasure to join about a dozen new taxa to their collection each year. Taxonomy is clear and the nomenclature stable.
